1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Wauw (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service. We may update these Terms periodically, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.
2. Eligibility & User Accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If under 16, you must have explicit parental or guardian consent.
- You must provide accurate and complete information.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Wauw is not responsible for unauthorized access.
3. Use of Service
- You agree not to use the Service for illegal or unauthorized purposes.
- You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
- You are responsible for any content you submit, including videos, text, and interactions with other users.
Optional Location Services: If you enable Location Services (including background location), Wauw may use your location to detect when you arrive at a selected gym and send a reminder to start a workout. This permission is optional and can be disabled at any time in your device settings.
Apple Health / HealthKit (iOS only): If you choose to connect Apple Health, Wauw may read selected health measurements (e.g., body weight, body fat percentage) to display insights in the app and may write workout sessions and user-entered measurements back to Apple Health. Wauw does not store HealthKit data on its servers. See the Privacy Policy for details.
4. Video Usage & Content Guidelines
By using Wauw, you agree to the following:
- Age and Consent: Ensure all individuals in videos are 16 or older, or have parental/guardian consent. Children under 16 cannot create their own accounts.
- Content Relevance: Wauw is focused on physical performance content. Non-relevant videos may be removed.
- Respectful Filming & Consent: Do not film individuals without their explicit consent. Avoid inappropriate, harmful, or misleading content.
5. Privacy & Content Visibility
You control your content visibility; however, we may limit how many private videos you can post on the free version due to storage costs.
6. Premium Services & Payments
- Certain features require a paid subscription.
- Payments are non-refundable.
7. Intellectual Property Rights
- All content you create remains yours, but you grant Wauw a license to use, distribute, and display it within the platform.
- Wauw retains rights to its branding, trademarks, and platform infrastructure.
8. Advertising & Data Collection
- We use advertising and analytics tools, including Facebook SDK, Cloudflare, Hetzner, Google Analytics, Firebase, and Branch.io.
- Google Analytics is used for UTM tracking and marketing analytics.
- Firebase is used for real-time user analytics and app performance monitoring.
- Branch.io is used for deep linking and marketing attribution from social media and external links (opt-out not supported).
- By using Wauw, you consent to data collection for personalized ads and marketing analytics.
9. Third-Party Services
Wauw integrates with:
- Cloudflare (video storage, streaming)
- Hetzner (data storage, except videos)
- AWS (profile image hosting)
- Google Analytics (UTM tracking & marketing analytics)
- Firebase (real-time user analytics & app performance monitoring)
- Branch.io (deep linking & marketing attribution; opt-out not supported)
Each has independent policies governing data use.
10. Account Deletion & GDPR Compliance
- You may request account deletion via settings.
- Under GDPR, you have the right to be forgotten.
11. Content Moderation & Reporting
- AI & human moderation review reported content.
- Violating content will be removed within 24 hours.
12. Limitation of Liability
Wauw is not liable for:
- User-generated content.
- Service interruptions.
- Unauthorized access to your account.
13. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms. Continued use implies acceptance.
